The collaboration capabilities that Loop brings to your table could indeed be groundbreaking. But if you take a “don’t try to understand it-feel it” approach, I may say it almost feels like a unicorn in your office. It’s hard to describe the utility of Microsoft Loop from the videos and blogs Microsoft shared around it yesterday. Microsoft Loop is the new collaboration app coming to Microsoft 365 that is built on top of Microsoft’s Fluid framework for document collaboration. Read on! Microsoft Loop, Context AI, and Mesh I am excited to share some of the top announcements and some new insights from this year’s Ignite. This is where groundbreaking additions to Microsoft 365, such as Microsoft Loop and Context IQ, were announced. But after attending many of the sessions, I must admit that the Microsoft 365 session, Empower Everyone for a New World of Hybrid Work by Jared Spataro, became my favorite. I was really looking forward to the session from Scott Guthrie called Innovate Anywhere From Multicloud to Edge, as well as a presentation about Power Platform.

Update Febru3:15 PM: Added details on the introduction of a mixed reality keynote experience coming to Microsoft Ignite March digital event.This year’s Microsoft Ignite conference happened this week, from November 2–4. The company also plans to host only digital events till July 2021. Last year Microsoft announced after Ignite 2020 in September that a digital event will take place in March 2021 and will showcase the latest technical announcements from Microsoft and Microsoft partners. The keynote session will appear in the main menu on the day of the event. Launch the app and create an account through the Microsoft Account option (only Microsoft-linked accounts will have access to the event). To do this, download AltspaceVR from the Windows Store, Steam Library, and Oculus Stores for Rift/Rift-S and Quest/Quest2.

To enjoy a total conference experience Microsoft advises you register as most sessions will require you to sign in. The event will have both live segments such as the keynotes and Q&A as well as already recorded content sessions. The event will start from 4 PM GMT, 7 PM EAT, 6 PM SAT, March 2nd to March 4th 2021. It will be in the form of a 48 hour long virtual event available across all the time zones. Registration for Microsoft Ignite 2021 is opened and it will be a free digital-only event.
